(M2) - Complete a SWOT analysis for the intended animation for the client
SWOT Analysis -
Strengths -
My animation follows the brief tightly and suggests a children's style of art. The movement is also smooth and represents a high quality, professional creation which would be used in a real life situation. The simplicity of the animation would also be enjoyable to a. younger audience as it would be much easier to understand.
Weaknesses -
The main weakness from my animation is perhaps a lack of storyline or narrative. This was not a specific detail in the brief, but it might be more interesting than the motion graphics animation that I am intending to make. Furthermore, the brief specified 'energetic motion graphics piece' which may interpret my idea incorrectly, as it is not profoundly 'energetic'. However, I feel that it fits the theme nicely.
Opportunities -
The opportunities I can take from this is by incorporating more energetic sections within the animation, such as a separate ident within the initial one. For example, to incorporate the Flip TV logo, I could use a separate animation which is more energetic to fit in with the theme of the show. This is something that I could plan and create during the production process.
Threats -
The threats of my animation/ident are bigger studios such as Nickelodeon and Disney who have access to more money swell as better programs to produce their animations which means that they may look more professional
